Home / Soak tanks
Clean between visits.
A soak tank in the kitchen lets the team keep the filters and the heavy equipment parts clean between Summit’s visits: filters and parts go in overnight and come out clean, without scrubbing. Summit supplies the tank, sizes it to the kitchen at the survey, agrees a simple routine with the team, and checks the tank at each service visit.
Soak tank — [Venue]
| Item | Soaked | Between services |
|---|---|---|
| Canopy baffle filters | Overnight | Kitchen routine |
| Range and fryer parts | As needed | Kitchen routine |
| Tank condition and solution | — | Checked at each Summit visit |
The program visits on a cycle. The grease arrives every shift.
Between services the filters load up, the range parts bake on and someone ends up scrubbing at the end of a shift, or not. A soak tank takes that off the team: filters and parts go into a heated solution overnight and come out clean in the morning, so the system Summit certified stays closer to that state until the next visit.
It also keeps the filters in one piece. Most bent and damaged filters come from scrubbing, not from service.
Sized, supplied and checked.
Sized at the survey
The tank is sized to the filter count and the equipment the kitchen wants to soak, and placed where the kitchen has the room and the drainage for it.
Supplied and set up
Summit supplies the tank, the solution and a written routine for the team, with the safety information for the solution left on site.
A routine, not a chore
Filters and parts go in at close and come out at open. The routine is agreed with the kitchen so it fits the shifts, not the other way round.
Checked at each visit
The tank, the solution and the condition of what comes out of it are checked at each Summit service visit and noted on the site record.
Heavy kitchens, and kitchens that want to keep up.
High-load kitchens
Kitchens whose filters load between services and whose range parts take the most scrubbing. A tank keeps the load down between visits.
Kitchens on a Summit program
A tank sits comfortably with filter exchange: the kitchen soaks between visits, Summit exchanges and records on the visit.
Groups with a standard back of house
The same tank and the same routine in every kitchen, so a manager moving between sites finds the same thing in each.
Survey to routine.
Scoped
Filter count, equipment and the space for the tank looked at during the survey.
Supplied
Tank, solution and the written routine delivered and set up with the team.
Used
Filters and parts soaked overnight by the kitchen, on the agreed routine.
Checked
Tank and solution checked at each Summit visit and noted on the site record.
Keep the kitchen between visits.
The survey sizes the tank to the kitchen; the program checks it on every visit.
