Start with the survey. Free for the venues we’re built for; yours either way.

One pass through your exhaust system with the same instruments, the same benchmark and the same evidence discipline as the certificate — and a written report you keep whether or not you engage Summit.

01  What happens

Seven steps.
Fifteen to thirty minutes.

The survey walks the exhaust system once, in a fixed order, capturing measurements and photographs as it goes. Each completed survey carries a sequential reference, SAM-SVY-####, and produces the written report.

StepWhat is looked atWhat is captured
01Canopy & filters
Canopy condition, filter type, fit and condition, visible grease loading at the filter bank.
Photographs
02Duct access points
Every reachable access point located and opened where permitted; borescope both directions.
Comb reading in microns at each; photographs
03Fan & discharge
Fan chamber and discharge condition; grease trail at the discharge.
Photographs
04System layout
Route of the duct run, riser and horizontal sections, roof plant location.
Enough to scope a full service accurately
05Grease loading
Readings consolidated against the AIRAH Best Practice Guideline benchmark.
Readings vs benchmark
06Access constraints
Working-at-height needs, ceiling-space and tenancy constraints, confined-space screen.
Constraints recorded
07Compliance evidence
Existing service records sighted, or their absence recorded factually.

02  The instruments

No instrument,
no survey.

An unmeasured walk-through is somebody else's product. The survey uses the certificate's kit, so the first document you receive from Summit is a working sample of the one you would be buying.

Grease-depth comb

A micron-scale wet-film reading on the duct's internal surface at every access point opened — taken at the heaviest visible accumulation within reach.

Borescope

Imagery into the duct run in both directions at each access point, labelled with the position.

Tripod light

Interior duct and plenum photography is lit so it can be assessed. A dark frame proves nothing.

Camera

Every position marked and framed so a later after-shot can be taken from the identical position.

03  The deficiency schedule

Numbered, factual,
independently quotable.

Every observation that falls short of criteria or good installation practice becomes a numbered row — a discrete scope item. The schedule itself carries no prices; it carries the location, the severity, the observation, the photo reference and the recommended action.

01Critical — fire-safety-relevant now.
02Major — will breach criteria before a next service on any reasonable interval.
03Minor — record and monitor.

Observations are measurements and facts. A reading in microns against the benchmark is an observation; an adjective is not.

04  Who gets it free

Free inside the profile. A paid condition report outside it.

The survey is free for the venues Summit is built for — hotel groups, aged care, centre food courts, venue operators and facilities-managed sites in metro Adelaide, from a single venue up.

Outside that profile, the same survey is available as a standalone condition-report engagement: same protocol, same instruments, same report. The free survey is a targeted first step, not a giveaway — evidence priced at nothing would undercut the standard the certificate exists to hold.

05  What it never does

The asset speaks.
The report writes it down.

Name, grade or characterise any provider

The report measures the system and records what it finds. If you ask whether your current arrangement is working, the answer is the deficiency schedule — you draw the conclusion.

Manufacture a gap

A system found within criteria is reported within criteria. A padded report is discoverable, and fatal to a compliance brand.

Recommend servicing where a confined-space constraint is found

Summit holds no confined-space entry competency. The constraint is recorded and nothing is recommended that cannot be delivered safely.

Assert the standard's servicing frequency

Your interval is a professional recommendation from measured accumulation, written on the report — never presented as the standard's mandated frequency.

06  After the survey

Report, proposal,
program.

STAGE 01

Report delivered

Findings, the deficiency schedule and a compliance-evidence statement, in writing, kept by the venue.

STAGE 02

Proposal built

Each schedule row maps to a scope item; the interval is proposed from what was measured.

STAGE 03

Program begins

Interval set, first service booked, the year's schedule issued.

EITHER WAY

Report is yours

Where the survey was free, the report says so: provided without charge and without obligation.
